The Safe in a File, Fire King 2-2131-CSF, combines all the features of a fireproof file cabinet and a security safe. The 2-2131-CSF cleverly conceals a 2.4 cubic foot, security safe behind a false top drawer panel. The file has a 1 hour UL fire resistant label and a UL impact resistant label. In addition UL has rated this product to be water resistant to water spray. Chose Black, Parment or Platinum for quickest delivery.

The 3-2131-CSF fireproof file includes both  UL 1 Hour fire and impact rating. The interior is graphite. Safe-in-a-File models may have key or e-lock options installed in regular drawers. The top section of the file looks like a drawer, but really conceals a security safe. That false drawer opens only with a key lock. For fastest delivery, chose Black, Platinum and Parment colors.

When exposed to fire as per the Standard Time Temperature Curve for 3 hours to 1925F. this safe kept  an interior temperature less than 125F and an interior relative humidity less than 80% .

This safe also passed the the Humidity Test, the Fire and Impact Test and the Fire Endurance Test. The safe did not explode or break open through 30 minutes to exposure to a 2000F fire and immediate 30 foot drop test and a standard reheating for one hour to 1700F.

The data portion of the safe must maintain an interior temperature less than 125F and an interior relative humidity less than 80% for class 125, when exposed to fire as per the Standard Time Temperature Curve for 3 hours to 1925F.

The UL test for the records portion calls for the safe to be heated to 1550 for 30 minutes then dropped onto concrete rubble from a height of 30 feet. Then it is inverted and reheated for another 30 minutes. The safe must maintain its integrity throughout the test and protect all contents.

To get the 2 hour fire rating, this data safe had to keep an interior temperature less than 125F and an interior relative humidity less than 80% (for class 125), when exposed to fire as per the Standard Time Temperature Curve for 2 hrs to 1850F. To receive the impact rating, the safe had to remain shut and not explode through 30 minutes to exposure to a 2000F fire and immediate 30 foot drop test and reheating for 45 minutes to 1638F. The safe also met all other requirements for the Fire Endurance Test, Explosion Hazard Test, Humidity Test, and Fire and Impact Test.
