This is a small through-the-wall Perma Vault depository safe comes with a chute that cannot be removed. The PRO-CH-9031 extension chute is available for stud wall installation - up to 5-1/2". The PRO-CH-9032 optional extension chute is available for a wall thickness of 5-9 inches. Wider walls can be accommodated for an extra charge. There is also a cover plate available. While compact, the Perma-Vault WS-100-8-M is a secure safe made from heavy gauge steel with a high security Medeco Key lock. Like any wall safe, the WS-100-8-M is easy to conceal behind a picture or in a closet. This wall safe come pre-drilled and is easy to install between 16in on center studs. The data portion of the safe must maintain an interior temperature less than 125F and an interior relative humidity less than 80% for class 125, when exposed to fire as per the Standard Time Temperature Curve for 3 hours to 1925F.

The UL test for the records portion calls for the safe to be heated to 1550 for 30 minutes then dropped onto concrete rubble from a height of 30 feet. Then it is inverted and reheated for another 30 minutes. The safe must maintain its integrity throughout the test and protect all contents.
