When Sentry purchased Schwab the inherited over 135 years of expertise in creating secure fire doors. Some customers build this for a fireproofed vault room. Others add this door to an ordinary room where it still contributes significant fire and burglary protection. The door was tested at 1700F for one hour and earned the 350F UL label. The fire door was tested for resistance to burglary attack and also did not break open in a blast of water from a large fire fighting hose. This is a very heavy duty Sentry Record Fire Safe. Originally designed for business documents, this 1 hour UL rated fire safe can protect any valuables. It is a heavy duty safe carrying a UL explosion hazard resistance label and an Impact (fall) resistance label. This safe comes standard with a high security Group II UL rated combination lock. For extra burglary protection it has a relocking device the sets the bolts if the lock is attacked. It is designed with 10 gauge steel and an additional ¼ inch steel plate on the interior of the door giving this safe 30% thicker steel than most competing brands. In addition to thicker steel the door is 5 inches thick overall. This creates a barrier that withstands both crow bar and pry bar attack. Each safe is reinforced with up to 16 solid steel bolts at 1.5 inches thick. The Black Hawk Gun Safes are now has an increased fire rating of 90 minutes at 1400 degrees. Additionally our intumescent door seal expands to 8 times its original size when exposed to heat. These safes come with the Sargent and Greenleaf Military Grade EMP Rated Spartan lock.
